The popular and safe swimming beach of Main Beach is at the end of the main street in Byron Bay. Surfing beaches include The Pass at Clarke's Beach, Watego's and Tallow - there are also a string of beautiful isolated beaches just a few minutes south of the town.

"Byron" as the locals call it, is located approximately 800 kms north of Sydney and 100 kms south of the Gold Coast, easily accessible from either Coolangatta Airport (about 1.5 hrs driving time) or Brisbane Airport (about 2.5 hrs).
